There are times when I need Scalzi like medicine. The day this book came out, I was in need. I gobbled it up (ha!) in three days and felt better about everything.
I'm a sucker for snarky science fiction, but Scalzi is ... a type all his own. Yes, sometimes it's a bit too, hmm, Scalzi for me. But after a break, reading other authors, I keep coming back.
This is written like vignettes. A diverse group of characters going through their own post-moon-cheese process, figuring stuff out. There is intersection between them as the story progresses but there didn't need to be. It was a satisfying meal in courses.
